To that end, PSP hacker TokyoDrift (not his / her real name) has wired an old PS2 mouse into his portable’s serial port, by way of an ATMEL ATmega8 chip-sporting breadboard. The various PSP buttons can be mapped to the mouse’s buttons or scroll wheel, and scaling and sample rates are adjustable. The new version of the popular beat 'em up will include wireless play on the PSP, and we hear the title will be released this year - making some kind of face-off with Tekken plausible.
Namco hope to make a game that will appeal to long-term fans, as well as attracting new players to the series. All the big name characters are included, as well as new characters too.

XA new version of Soul Calibur is on the way to the PSP handheld, called Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny. The game was confirmed less than 24 hours after Tekken 6 was also announced for the handheld.
Noriyuki Hiyama,psp themes, director of the game, reveals that the title will boast improved visuals over the original SC4, and will also make use of the PSP's unique capabilities.
